ABSTRAK Latar Belakang : Pengetahuan tentang donor apheresis pada mahasiswa masih terbilang rendah, kebanyakan hanya mengetahui donor darah WB (Whole Blood) atau darah lengkap, tetapi untuk donor apheresis sendiri masih belum banyak yang tahu. Untungnya saat ini sudah banyak PMI yang telah melakukan kegiatan donor apheresis dan informasinya disebarluaskan melalui media sosial PMI tersebut. Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh media sosial PMI terhadap pengetahuan tentang donor apheresis pada mahasiswa tingkat III di Politeknik Akbara. Metode : Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian asosiatif kausal dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data primer dengan menyebarkan kuesioner. Hasil : Hasil uji F diketahui nilai Fhitung (64,403) lebih besar dari Ftabel (2,002) dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000<0.05. Nilai R-Square sebesar 53,9% sehingga dapat diartikan bahwa variabel bebas (X) memiliki pengaruh kontribusi sebesar 53,9% terhadap variabel terikat (Y). Kesimpulan : Media sosial PMI dapat memberikan pengaruh positif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang donor apheresis pada mahasiswa tingkat III di Politeknik Akbara. Fortunately, there are currently many Indonesian Red Cross who have carried out donor apheresis activities and the information is disseminated through IRC social media. Objective : To find out the influence of IRC social media on knowledge about donor apheresis in level III students at the Akbara Polytechnic Method : This research is a type of causal associative research with a quantitative approach. Primary data by disseminating questionnaires. Result : The results of the F test are known to have a calculated F value (64.403) greater than Ftabel (2.002) and a significance value of 0.000<.0.05. The R-Square value is 53.9% so it can be interpreted that the free variable (X) has a contribution influence of 53.9% against the bound variable (Y). Conclusion : The IRC social media can have a positive influence in increasing knowledge about donor apheresis in level III students at the Akbara Polytechnic. Keywords : Social Media, Donor Apheresis
